Dublin Attractions

Trinity College and the Book of Kells

Founded in 1592, Trinity College is Ireland’s oldest university. Its Long Room library is one of the most beautiful in the world. Visitors come to see the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript created by Celtic monks around 800 AD, held in a specially designed exhibition.

Dublin Castle

At the heart of historic Dublin, the castle has served many roles since its 13th-century beginnings. Once the seat of British rule, it is now a government complex and museum. Highlights include the lavish State Apartments and the medieval undercroft, where parts of the original Viking fortress remain.

Kilmainham Gaol

This former prison, opened in 1796, tells the story of Ireland’s fight for independence. Guided tours walk through the cold stone corridors where key leaders were held and executed. Its stark, echoing interior leaves a lasting impression of the country’s revolutionary past and turbulent history.

St Stephen’s Green

A peaceful retreat in the city centre, St Stephen’s Green is a beautifully landscaped Victorian park. Winding paths, duck ponds and statues make it a favourite for locals on lunch breaks and tourists needing a pause. It also played a role in the 1916 Easter Rising, with visible bullet marks in its Fusiliers’ Arch.

Guinness Storehouse

A visit to Dublin is not complete without a stop at the Guinness Storehouse. Spread over seven floors, the museum walks visitors through the brewing process and the brand’s global legacy. The experience ends with a pint in the Gravity Bar, offering panoramic views of the city.

Thinking Of An Extended Holiday?

International Cricket Tours can expand our itineraries to fit your needs.

After the cricket in Dublin, you could head south to Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, known for its Viking history and crystal ware.

Continue into County Cork, passing through charming coastal towns and villages in West Cork, a region famed for its artisan produce and rugged landscapes.

Head into County Kerry, with time to explore the wild beauty of the Dingle Peninsula, including the dramatic Slea Head Drive, where the Atlantic Ocean meets Ireland’s western edge.

Stay in hand-picked, characterful accommodation throughout the journey, with opportunities to dine on local cuisine and experience traditional Irish culture.

Finally, visit the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, with their breath-taking views over the Atlantic.
