Cricket Kindness is an organisation which recognises that sport can make a profound and positive impact on people and their communities.
About the Children's Cricket Kindness Charity
The Children’s Cricket Charity Inc was established in 2016 and became a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission, ABN 71688378374 the same year. At the essence of the organisation is the recognition sport can make a profound and positive impact on people and their communities.
The charity has brought happiness to thousands of underprivileged children & teenagers through the simple joy of access to sport. In particular cricket by providing equipment, playing uniforms and other resources to communities in NSW the Caribbean, Sri Lanka and Fiji.
In 2018, the charity also began facilitating awesome cricket activation programs for underprivileged children and teenagers!
Inspired by equality, humanity and simple kindness whilst driven by a passionate belief in the power of sport to change lives, Tamara established the Caribbean Children’s Cricket Charity in 2016 to level the playing field for disadvantaged cricket-loving kids without access to cricket kit.
Tamara has now moved to England so we will be working a lot closer with her in order to raise more funds to support the children of Sri Lanka and the Carribean.
This year, Tamara has donated junior cricket bats and balls to Soweto CC and Alexander Township CC in Johannesburg.
