This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced travel industry professional to join one of the leading cricket tour operators in the UK.

International Cricket Tours is a growing specialist travel company. We sell tailor-made cricket holidays to Australia, New Zealand, Africa, the Caribbean, Sri Lanka and India, mainly to UK consumers. We offer an excellent range of travel products, unrivalled destination knowledge and personal, friendly service.

Our office is based in central Reading, although flexible working conditions can be agreed if required.

To provide support for our incredible holidays requires amazing people. We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and confident individual, who has experience of our destinations to join us in a support role to the sales team. You will be involved in the planning and delivery of our group and tailor-made trips for clients who love to follow the England Cricket teams around the world.

As a travel specialist, you will work predominantly behind the scenes and deal with clients mainly by telephone. You will offer advice, helping with their travel plans and create a premium and seamless holiday experience, exceeding their expectations on every level.

Back-office experience is essential and a passion for sports travel is desirable.

Required Qualities

To be successful, you will need:
• Good organisation, administration and time management skills
• Experience in product compilation for our packages and negotiation with suppliers
• Confidence in dealing with people at all levels. Tailor made travel experience
• A friendly telephone manner
• First-hand travelling/sales experience in Long Haul travel, with good geographical knowledge
• Excellent written and spoken English and a relevant sales or business background

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:
• Post sales support and on-going travel advice directly with clients
• Using our in-house CRM to collate and confirm bookings to clients
• Managing group allocations
• Maintaining operational spreadsheets
• Assistance with content for email and other marketing including social media
• Selection and procurement of client merchandise

Qualifications

Essential qualifications:
• A passion or keen interest in Cricket
• Good written and spoken English
• Knowledge on long haul destinations to cricket playing nations
• Computer literate with some experience of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable requirements:
• Accuracy – eye for detail
• Negotiating and sales skills, both telephone and face-to-face.
• Customer service experience
• Flexible working hours including occasional evenings, weekend and bank holidays if required
• Ability to work in a small team environment
• Capacity to be able to travel on tours when required but not essential
