Green Park Stadium (Kanpur)

Team England should feel at home when they pitch up to the Green Park Stadium in Uttar Pradesh. It’s India but with a distinctly British flavour. This 33,000 seater stadium is named in honour of Mrs Green, a daughter of the Raj who rode her horses where the wicket now stands. But it’s also nicknamed Woolmer’s Turf in memory of the legendary player and coach Bob, who was born in the hospital opposite. In spite of this heritage, England has never fared well at Green Park, the team languishing without a win here since 1952.
