3x Test matches

After 17 years away, England took to the pitches of Pakistan in 2022 and triumphed in a test series against the mighty men in Green. It was a joyful return to a country often beset by troubles but now seizing the opportunity to show off its unique culture and charm.

In October 2024, we’re delighted to be able to return to hot and steamy Pakistan for a three-part test rematch. So, make sure you catch some scintillating cricketing action while gaining a glimpse into Pakistan’s most memorable sights and sounds, from ravishing Rawalpindi and magnificent Multan to legendary Lahore and kick-ass Karachi.

Explore Pakistan, a country rich in intrigue, with echoes of the Raj, the Mughal emperors and Silk Route adventurers but now firmly on course for a modern future.

What’s up for grabs? This series forms part of the ICC World Test Championship and so another win in Pakistan would help England move closer to a sought-after top-two spot and a finals place in 2025. On the other hand, as of early 2023, Pakistan sit mid table, far from the heady days of 2016 when they briefly ruled the test world, and will be desperate to make home advantage count.

England’s cricket team in Pakistan

Pakistan are fiercely formidable opponents but England’s cricket team can take huge confidence from their victory in the December 2022 test series. On that occasion Harry Brook’s ton and a half was the pick of a quartet of centuries as England amassed a first innings 657 in the Rawalpindi run-fest. Ben Stokes’ decision to declare early then allowed England to bowl out Pakistan as the light faded, setting the scene for a stellar series.

Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam will no doubt be keen to gain revenge for the test series and also the loss to England in the 2022 T20 World Cup final. Among the top-ranked batters in test match, Azam is steeped in Pakistan’s cricketing history having once been a ballboy at the Gaddafi stadium.

Pakistan’s test fortresses

A succession of Pakistan’s rulers built their empires around the citadels known as Forts. Now, a trio of fortress stadiums will await England as they attempt to defeat Pakistan yet again on home soil. So, it’s time to take a seat at one of Pakistan’s top international cricket grounds in the guise of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the National in Karachi, the Multan or Rawalpindi stadiums. With restrictions now lifted, the crowds will be back and the atmosphere will be electric.

Details of your venues and the squads will be available as soon as we have them.

Monuments, mountains and Mughals

In 2022, our exceptional Pakistani tour guides delivered a feast for the senses and the pick of Pakistan sightseeing experiences. They ensured that our safety and security was always a priority and wherever we went locals were keen to greet us and proved to be exemplary hosts.

ICT Tours will ensure you receive the same high standard of service in 2024 and will be working with our local team to bring you the fullest range of things to do in Pakistan. Depending on our itinerary this could encompass the magnificent mountainous backdrops of the Karakoram, the pleasures of a Hammam spa, the marvellous monuments of Multan or the imperious Lahore Fort.

Our 2022 Tour in Words

My original concerns about this trip turned out to unfounded. What an experience! I have to go back and see more of that beautiful country and its people. I will definitely be booking for 2024. The cricket grounds were more than acceptable, the restaurants and places of interests far[...]

It’s 17 years since England travelled to Pakistan for cricket and having discussed it, we wanted to be there. Bucket list trips like this one are few and far between. The people were so friendly it took us aback. Concerns for security were unfounded and there were so many highlights I don’t know where to start. Well, it has to be the cricket I guess. So good to see[...]
