This isn’t your typical wine tour – it’s a fun-filled day of wine, wildlife, and breathtaking scenery, hosted by the grooviest tour guides around. So buckle up for a day of unforgettable experiences, the Groovy way!

We’ll pick you up between 8.30am and 9am (depending on your chosen pick-up point), and from there, it’s straight into the scenic beauty of the Adelaide Hills.

Our first stop is Gumeracha, where you’ll meet an Australian icon—the Big Rocking Horse! As the world’s largest rocking horse, it’s a sight to behold. Stay grounded and admire, or if you’re feeling brave, climb up to the top for just $2 and soak in those views. Animal lovers can add on a wildlife experience for a small fee, getting up close with friendly kangaroos and wallabies. It’s also a great spot to grab a coffee or a snack to fuel up for the day’s adventures.

Next, we’ll visit the famous Whispering Wall at the Barossa Reservoir, where you can experience the fascinating acoustic wonders of this incredible landmark.

Then, it’s on to our first winery stop: the family-run Kies Family Winery. Sample a selection of their award-winning wines and learn about their commitment to sustainability—they’re 95% off the grid!

Our journey continues to the legendary Lambert Estate, where a tasting experience awaits, followed by a delicious pizza lunch. Gather around the table, chat, and enjoy freshly made gourmet pizzas that bring people together.

After lunch, we’ll take in the stunning views at Menglers Hill Lookout. Snap some photos and capture the panoramic beauty of the Barossa.

We then head into Tanunda, where you’ll have 45 minutes to explore like a local.

Choose your own adventure here: visit Z Wines for a tasting led by sisters Janelle and Kristen Zerk, who are carrying on a family wine-making legacy; or, if you’re looking to mix it up, stop by the Rehn Bier Brewhouse and sample some locally brewed beers (tasting at own cost). Prefer to relax? Wander through Tanunda’s quaint shops, grab a coffee, or indulge in an ice cream before we set off back to Adelaide.
