Australia 2022 ICC T20 Men's World Cup

OCTOBER – NOVEMBER 2022

The 2022 ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to be the 8th ICC T20 World Cup tournament. Sixteen teams will participate in the event, which starts in October 2022 and concludes in November 2022 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The final will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Why was it delayed?
Initially, the tournament was to be held in India in October and November 2021, however, in July 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the tournament had been postponed to 2022, due to COVID-19. In August 2020, the ICC reaffirmed that Australia would host the 2022 tournament and India will host T20 World Cup 2020 in 2021.
